Welcome to SparrowCam.com

When we moved into our current home, house sparrows were not a common sight. We hardly saw them. But after providing food and water every day, we eventually had them visiting our garden regularly. Now, after a number of years, we have our own local colony and they are thriving.

On occasion their numbers in our own back garden reach forty or more. It's like a scene from a Hitchcock movie! :) It took some time, but we are proud to have done our bit to help this endangered species to recover.

By maintaining this website we aim to highlight their plight and show you how you can help, too. So check out our photo gallery, get more information about the humble house sparrow, view some of our videos and see what's going on in our nesting boxes.

If you can help support this website, that would be appreciated. See the green link in the box on the left. But even better, create your very own sparrow-friendly garden.

And don't forget to check out our pet Java Sparrows. We'll be adding pictures of our cockatiels very soon as well.

We love birds. Can you tell? :)
